Toolstation recently partnered with domestic violence charity Rebuilding Lives UK to support the completion of a home renovation project in Macclesfield by donating several trade tools and accessories.

Rebuilding Lives UK is a charity that supports survivors of domestic abuse coping with poor living standards and financial difficulties by providing partial or complete home maintenance and repair funding.

The charity operates nationally within the United Kingdom, and the service is available to all genders and identities from the age of 18 onwards. In early July, Rebuilding Lives UK was preparing a home renovation project for a survivor based in the Macclesfield region. It required a selection of tools & accessories to help complete the task.

With a short turnaround time required, charity founder Naima Ben-Moussa reached out to Toolstation for support. Toolstation was able to donate a total of 20 products to the project, including Sanding SheetsWindow ScrapersWallpaper StrippersMasking TapeDust Sheets and more.

The donation also included a Gazebo to provide a shaded sanctuary for the project volunteers and help protect the tools from any wet weather during the project. Toolstation was able to organise for all products to be delivered to its local store in Macclesfield within 24 hours, ensuring the job could start on time.

Andrew Venner, Financial Controller at Toolstation, who was on hand to arrange the product donation, comments, “It was essential for us to find a way to support the renovation project within the short timeframe available. Rebuilding Lives UK is a fantastic charity which raises awareness of such an important cause, and it is brilliant to know our donation has helped improve the life of a domestic abuse survivor.”

Naima Ben-Moussa, founder of Rebuilding Lives UK, comments, “We greatly appreciate Toolstation pitching in. Andrew Venner and his team pulled some serious shifts to get everything sorted, even when the clock was ticking. They managed to get us all we needed right in the nick of time for our project. Without this helping hand, we simply couldn’t have turned this place into a cosy and inviting home for a domestic abuse survivor and their little ones.”
