Leading electrical distributor Rexel has announced the launch a brand new format branch in Salford, which opened on Monday 1st March 2021.
The new format puts self-service at the heart of the customer experience and makes key efficiencies in the way customers purchase. The new Salford branch intends to have up to 3,500 essential lines ready to pick up through self-service, this is as a direct result of consultation with customers and a review of systems and processes.
Located at Red Rose Retail Park on Regent Road in Salford the new location is less than five minutes from the existing Rexel Salford branch, ensuring customers won’t have to travel much further to continue to access quality Rexel products.
The new Salford branch has better overall visibility on a main route into Manchester and also features Rexel’s new showroom format, which was initially successful trialled at the company’s Barking branch launch in 2020 and has proven to be extremely popular.
Taking inspiration from the retail environment, Rexel Salford will be open six days a week, including Saturday mornings and also offer click and collect services. This reduces waiting times and ensures continued efficiencies for Rexel and its customers. Those companies or installers requiring same day or next day deliveries will also be catered for.
The new site offers customers EV charging on site. More customers will be upgrading their vehicles to electric versions over the next few years and Rexel is committed to supporting them with on-site facilities.
