The University chose ITI after a competitive tender process. It is one of the top 59 Universities in the UK having recently achieved the Gold standard award in the national Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF). The contract will involve a phased procedure to test facilities at multiple sites across the University Campus, with a schedule of work to minimise disruption to students, staff and researchers. The win builds on ITI’s success in securing a range of commercial and industrial work. In May it secured a major new warehouse renovation project with Advanced Turf Technology, a company whose products are used by Premier League clubs, golf courses, and sporting facilities around the world. Jack Malia, ITI Electrical Services’ director, said, “ITI Electrical Services and the University of Huddersfield share a commitment to excellence, putting each of us amongst the “elites” in our areas. We are thrilled to be working with the University of Huddersfield: this two-year contract is our first with a UK University, having worked with some of the best known commercial, high street and industrial names for many years.” ITI Electrical Services provides electrical installation, maintenance and contracting services. The business is part of The Templand Group and is a sister company to ITI Network Services, an expanding wireless and telecoms business which works with multinational clients and has an extensive UK and European client base.
