January of this year saw the sad passing of Rod Taylor, (founder and former managing director of Seaward) at age 66, after a three year battle with Myeloma.

Andrew Upton, current Managing Director of Seaward Group, said: “Rod was well-loved and is fondly remembered by the Seaward staff who worked with him, as well as by those in our distribution network and supply chain.

“It is due to his entrepreneurship, forward-thinking, hard work and diligence that Seaward is where it is today – leading the field internationally in biomedical engineering, renewable energy and health and safety testing and measurement.”

Rod’s daughter, Jennifer, has said that her father was a “wonderful father and husband” and he continues to inspire wife Rosemary, son Russell and daughters Frances and Jennifer today. So much so, that his son, John and son-in-law, Rusty, are running for Myeloma UK in the SimplyHealth Great North Run, all in his memory.

The pair aim to raise £5,000 for Myeloma UK, to fund vital research in order to help find a cure and support other families affected by the condition. Please find out more about how to donate here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/john-scarlett-russell-taylor
