The EDA’s award is a testament to the team’s exceptional results: they have grown the Association in stature, delivering major, technologically complex and ambitious projects that have positive, long-term impacts on the sector.

Now in its 22nd year, the Trade Association Awards 2025 are supportedby the Department of Business and Trade, and recognise excellence, innovation and best practice amongst Trade Associations in the UK.

Margaret Fitzsimons, CEO at the EDA said “I am so pleased that the EDA Leadership team has been recognised publicly for their expertise, hard work and commitment to our members. The Leadership Team, supported by everyone at the EDA, constantly strives to improve everything they do and takes pride in a job well done.  It was great to have EDA Board Member, Glyn Prestwood, with us to pick up the award.

“Our Leadership Team is at the top of its game, working collaboratively, flexibly, with commitment and accountability to deliver an excellent service for EDA businesses. When people discover we are a 9-person team they are amazed at the volume and quality of our output.”

Emily Wallace, Chief Executive of the Trade Association Forum and one of the head judges on the panel said:

“The other judges and I were impressed by the excellent testimonials from members and staff praising the EDA leadership team, and how they have worked together to implement clear plans for growth and development”

The EDA was also Highly Commended in the Skills Development category for the programme of 30 Minute Masterclasses.
